Barbados and the Spirit

Hello,

 

We will be on the 10/19 Spirit and Barbados is one of the ports of call.

Has anyone sailed to Barbados and gone to Accra Beach or Crane Beach?

My husband is looking for a beach with waves to swim in. Can anyone say which one is best for that?

I highly recommend Crane beach. It is my favorite place in the Caribbean by far. The pink sand is wonderful, the beach is quiet, and the surf is usually very good. You can pop right up to the hotel for lunch.

 

Chairs are pricey - $20 a piece, if I recall correctly, and you I think you can also rent boogie boards from the beach chair vendor. It's a little hard to find, so take a cab or a good map. We always rent a car and park on a side street.
