My name if Frank, and my wife is Joanne. We are also on the Turnandot deck, Cabin #10194

Welcome to CC! We are meeting at around 3:30 by the pool bar and I hope you can come. What time are you eatting, main or late dining? SGT - is that military or law enforcement? We have a lot of retired both of them in our happy little group. My bunkie and I are just down the hall in 10154.

Nice to meet you Frank. Your cabin isn't too far from ours. We're on Turnandot Cabin 10142. Hope to meet you and Joanne on Sunday by the bar at the pool. Are you early or late dinner seating?

Hi SGTKoz, we are flying out of Philly on Sat. afternoon. Where are you from? Do you live near Philly. We're from a suburb of Philly in Delaware County.

Jeri, I also think we should stick with the 3:30 meet time. For those of us who have early seating, our cocktail party starts at 5:00, so even 3:30 meeting is pushing it.

Hi Barb Could you please tell me how we would know when we eat the first day of our cruise, and how we know the itinerary(where to be at what time, ect.) Thanks Kristin

Kristin, when you signed up for the cruise they asked you if you wanted early or late seating, at least they were supposed to ask you that. Did they send you your confirmation after you registered for the cruise? It is also on the confirmation as to which seating you are on. As far as the itinerary, we don't really have one yet. They did send a letter along with your cruise tickets. That letter told us about the times of the cocktail parties and which nights they would be. Did you get your tickets yet?

Those of us on this CC site arranged to meet some months ago so that we could all meet the people that we have been communicating with all this time. We suggested that we would all me up by the pool bar at 3:30 on Sunday afternoon. I hope that you and all the rest of the CC members will meet there. Don't forget, 3:30 by the pool bar on Sunday. We heard that was the best place to meet on the ship. I hope you will join us there Kristin.

Frank, I also heard that Paul Ahr was going to be there. I have a bone to pick with him. One of the cameras that I have is from QVC that he sold and we're not real happy with it. I plan on letting him know, but in a nice way.

Hi everyone...as some of you know my name is Sue, however my first name is Donna, so that is probably what will be on my name tag, soooo, if someone call's me Donna it might take a few for it to register with me as I have always been called Sue..well at least thats one of the nicer things I have been called hahaha....But no matter what I will sooner or later answer...My hubby Is Ron and we are in cabin 10040 on the turnadot deck. I am very fortunate because I am 1 of the 20 winners of this most wonderful thing that has ever happened to me. My hubby is also retired military and now retired law enforcement also. We are in our mid 50's, oh gosh thats a lie, I just had a birthday so I am now leaning on the last half of 50 haha...1 week to go my friends, ONE WEEK !!!!! :D :D :D :D

Hi all. Glad to see some new names/faces joining us as we get so close to departure! Since I believe in travelling light I have to begin paring down what I am packing -- such a difficult exercise! I walk with a cane so I can only manage one check-in and one carry on. My daughter and I are traveling to Ft. Lauderdale on Saturday and I hope to be able to do a bit of shopping for her since she has very few suitable summer clothes -- nothing like last minute packing!

Besides the Travelon lady and the Digital Camera man, do we know of any other vendors who will be on the cruise? It is going to be a blast meeting everyone!

Hi Barb We are eating at the early seating. Are you going to wear cocktail attire to the first party, or do we wear what we are going to wear on ship the first day?? We are looking forward to meeting everyone! My Mom and I are staying on the La Trevata deck in an inside cabin. Any comments from experienced cruisers-I did purchase ginger for motion sickness(if anyone needs some let me know). Kristin

Hi - another of our group who will be operating with a cane (or a walker)- my name is Jeri. First night, especially those who eat early, may not have their luggage, so make sure you have what you are planning on wearing first nite. It is more or less traditional that the first and last night will be casual. As for myself, will be wearing kinda like a citiknit outfit.

Hi Kristin, no I won't be wearing anything fancy the first evening. I'm really not sure what I will be wearing that first night, but like Jeri, I do have many Citiknits clothes and I'll probably be wearing something from that line. They are my favorite clothes. I got some of the clothes from ebay. Much cheaper then QVC, probably half the price.

Jeri just a couple for the newbies. Read daily newsletter. Breakfast you have dinning room, buffet and the "GRILL" The Grill is where you get your eggs to order, there's also a limited amount of side dishes, it's on the port side (left side of ship) outside the buffet area Did I say readyour daily newsletter!!!.

The Opera has a waterfall, which is forward end of pool, next deck up,there's a large wall. Last April they only turned it on one night,it's neat colored lights etc. Teased one of deck officers telling them do they have a shortage of water or power. It may be the night they do private island and have a big deck party. Enough rambling on. Before y'all know it you will be sailing. a Jerry, Again Read daily newsletter they don't make too many announcements.

Hi Claudia, not the same flight. Our flight leaves 3:55 also nonstop to Ft. Lauderdale and we're on Airtran. Guess we won't meet until Sunday. Your also at a different hotel then us. Your cabin is pretty close to us also. Most of us are pretty close on the Turnandot deck.

I'm really getting excited. I guess the only thing that I'm worried about are my animals when I'm gone. I'll miss them terribly and I know they'll miss us. :( I'm not sure how many of you are animal lovers, but you have to be one to know how I feel. Anyway, I know they'll be taken care of, so all that's left to do is to enjoy ourselves.

Yes, it's very hard to leave them. They are like our children. I wish they understood that we will be back and it's only temporary. I guess it would be different if we went away all the time, but this is our first vacation in over 15 years so it'll be quite different for them.

I have read and read all the shore excursions. I think I am looking forward to St. Thomas more then any other port. I have signed up for THE ULTIMATE ST. THOMAS EXPERIENCE where we go to Magen's Bay. I really want to see beautiful scenery and take lots of pictures, I want to do the beautiful beach for a couple of hours and I really want to do the shopping downtown, which is all on that excursion. My problem is I REALLY WANT TO SNORKEL ALSO! The only place where I can see that we have the option to snorkel is the ST. JOHN CHAMPAGNE CATAMARAN SAIL & SNORKEL excursion. Obviously I can't do both. Does anyone see in any other excursion where there is snorkeling? I have never done it before and have heard that it is terrific and an experience that I shouldn't miss. I wonder if we have the option to snorkel during THE ULTIMATE ST. THOMAS EXPERIENCE. I think I'll give Henry a call and ask him. If we do, I am definitely there!

Hi Everyone......James mentioned to me that we should all meet at the lunch buffet on Monday because the time factor might not work for all of us on Sunday. I think it's a great idea! I think we should all stick with the Sunday meet time of 3:30 by the bar at the pool for those of us that can make that, and for EVERYONE to meet on Monday at the lunch buffet. This way we won't be pressed for time and we can all relax and chat. What does everyone else think?

Barb

Oh, Jeri, I also have a Jack!

Hi all. One bag packed (3 to go)...I realize that our cruise is an "all gratuities included" one but I feel odd about not tipping at the time of service. This is my first cruise so I am not sure about what to do. I plan on tipping for carrying bags, at the casino (I understand they are not included in the prefigured gratuities), and I plan on leaving additional for the room steward. Does that sound reasonable? Am I missing anyone? Are you leaving additional for the waiter? Thanks for your experienced advice!
