HAL Oosterdam or Spirit for family of 6?

We've done the Pride and the Sapphire Princess to Mexico. So our other options are the Carnival Pride or Oosterdam. Pride was pretty good-didn't like the ship decor, but buffet was great. I toured the Oosterdam, very nice but not sure if my kids will like it. We will probaby go off season, like early fall or late spring, so don't know if other kids will be on board.

 

Any thoughts? Thanks!

What are you children's ages?

We are going on Spirit Nov 15 and the Oosterdam on Dec 23rd.I have a 18 year old and a 12 year old. I can scope things out, however these are both holiday cruises so things would be different

last Feb we took the Spirit and it was VERY child friendly.the decor was interesting-not great but the free-style dining, the kids pool and the kids program were heaven to my son. this year we're sailing HAL bc my husband and I want something more upscale but I doubt my son will be as happy as on the Spirit!
