Formal Dress - Is It Too Much?

For Goodness Sake...wear The Dress And Enjoy The Evening. You Wil Feel Like A Princess. After All...part Of The Fun Of The Cruise Is Getting All Dolled Up. For Those That Don't..........they Are Really Missing Out. And...........don't Forget To Have Your Portraits Taken. My Husband And I Do That On Every Cruise.

 

Amen to that! I guarantee you'll get many admiring looks -- from the men and the women!

 

Cruise formal night photos are framed and hung in our house. Some of the best pictures we have as a couple.

I laughed when I saw your post, mainly b/c I had posted something similar earlier today, wondering if i should re-use my bridesmaids dress from a wedding earlier this year...

Don't worry about the tux. The majority of men do not seem to wear them. Last cruise one of three at our table had a tux and the percentage was even lower than that on the prior 2 cruises.

 

I always wear a formal gown, DH always a nice suit and we coordinate his tie with my dress. (It's his vacation and he can wear what he wants!)

I do not think this dress is too dressy for formal night!! In fact i bougth a dress that is almost identical to this from dillards a few months ago, but it is navy and silver and I plan in wearing it!

I too am wearing my bridesmaid dress from a friends wedding. It is very simple A-line and black. She picked them out with the intentions that they could be worn again.

Thanks! I wasn't going to bring it, but i really would like to get more use out of a *gasp* $200 dress! I would never spend that on my own, but I pretty much had no choice! I think i might bring it and decide last minute....

Love the dress and color! Formal portraits taken on cruises are among my favorite vacation souvenirs! They also work great for Christmas cards! (scan and reprint)
