Manatee Sanctuary Park - Port Canaveral

Has anyone been to Manatee Santuary Park in Port Canaveral? I am thinking of going there in January - will there be Manatees around during that time of year?

I would also like to know about this. Is there a website for this? I was in Miami last year in January. We saw a manatee from our hotel balcony in the river(?) next to the hotel. I know this is much farther south than Port Canaveral, but, it can get pretty warm down there that time of the year.
