Jerked Fish

Hello,

I don't recall seeing it on any menus but I haven't ever looked for it either. You will find fish dishes, fried or baked fish is most likely to come in a creole sauce. Cuzzins, a Caribbean food restaurant downtown, I think have a couple Jamaican curry dishes, perhaps they might have jerk dishes as well.

Jerk seasoning is more popular in Jamaica (it may have originated there). There's a Jamaican restaurant not too far from the ship (but maybe too far for most people to walk), JamaicaMeCrazy, in the Bella Vista Scott Hotel. They probably serve jerk dishes.

That's a good question - what food is St Thomas known for? I would say the conch and butter sauce with fungi, or any other fish and fungi. Havensight Cafe, within walking distance of the ships at Havensight, usually has some local dishes on the menu, so you can check there if you don't go into town.
