Hi Everybody, I'm a new one to this site. I've been reading all the great reviews, they've been a great help to organizing my holiday. Only 7 weeks to go for me. Pacific Star R629. Could anyone tell me if I need to buy a power point adapter or are the power outlets the same as in Australia. Thanks so much. leah67:)

Well, the Star was originally a European ship. So it is more than likely that she has had European power points. However, since she was tailored for the Australian cruise market beforing entering the P&O fleet in December 2005, I would have to say she has Australian power points. I'm going on the Sun in October, went on the Sky last year!!

Good look, have a great cruise! Bon Voyage!

Pacific Star has European style power points, but adapters for standard Australian 2 or 3 pin plugs are provided. If, as was the case when we boarded, there isn't one provided simply ask your cabin steward and they'll fetch you one. Ours disappeared from the cabin a couple of times during the cruise - probably taken when the vacuum cleaner was unplugged we suspected. Again we just asked for , and received, another one. Our cabin steward told us that a lot of passengers took the adapter with them at the end of the cruise - whether accidently or on purpose was never clear.
