jonmar Posted July 25, 2006 #1 Share Posted July 25, 2006 Anyone know why QM2 is visiting St. Maarten once in the bookable future? Of all their Caribbean cruises bookable at the moment, only a 14 day Christmas and New Year's itinerary in December 2007 visit the island. Anyone know why? My wife and I love SXM and decided if we take a Caribbean voyage (we prefer crossings) it must visit St. Maarten.

I am guessing (Just guessing, mind you) that the new cruise dock might not be a deep water port, meaning they have to tender? It isn't a huge dock. I'm really not sure. it may be just that, since they don't have a regular berth there, they may not find it easy to book there with other ships and lines already taking up the new dock space. Then again, I may just be full of hooey! Karie, Who may be full of hooey, regardless!
