member cruises

on such cruises is there more attention to detail? Are there vips from corp. on board? Is the food better? I cant help it but I'm just confused about why "member cruises" are a big deal:confused:

thanks in advance for your help

We did a member cruise on the Jewel in Feb of 2005. Because there were more C&A members and Diamond & Diamond Plus folks they had additional people on board from the Miami office to accommodate us.

All C&A members got "gifts" each night (hats, floaties, pens, bath & body lotion sets, I can't even remember all the "treasures").

Diamond & Diamond Plus members were treated to a free shore excursion (Ours was Orient Beach on St Maarten). They also had a second concierge lounge (up by the Viking Crown Lounge, the Hollywood something?) but both lounges were so crowded you couldn't get service.

The "repeaters" party was busting at the seam. They had another part for just Diamond & Diamond Plus and that less crowded, but still full.

Would we do it again? Doubt it.
