Deals for repeat customers?

First I would like to thank all of you for all the great information I am getting!! My DH my two young DD's and my Mom are taking the Hawaii cruise on the NCL Wind in Dec. When we booked our trip with a TA earlier in this month we did not know my Mom had gone on the NCL Wind a few years to Alaska. She they would send her things to go again and they would upgrade. I e-mailed my TA to let her know this. She said she contacted NCL to inform them that my Mom is a past passengar and they will add to the possible upgrade list. However there is no guarantee that one will come through. What does this mean? We have two rooms booked on G Cat. obstructed views. I would rather have two rooms connecting if at all possible. I wonder if we could go to Cat. F and get connecting rooms for the same price??? I am sorry for the questions just really do not know how this upgrading works.
