meshelles Posted July 28, 2006 #1 Share Posted July 28, 2006 We will be on Rhapsody at the end of Aug, and I am starting to organize our clothing and buy anything additional that we need. For the casual dining room evenings, I will be wearing black slacks 2 evenings, a print skirt 2 evenings and a sundress. What should DH wear? He likes to dress and look nice, and we both hate to be underdressed. He has several pair of linen slacks to pair with neutral colored Hawaiian shirts and nice leather sandles (he grew up in Hawaii so this is his natural style and he wears this type of outfit all the time). He has both open and closed toe sandles. Is this appropriate? Or should he wear dress slacks and loafers or dress shoes with collared shirts? DukeFamily Posted July 28, 2006 #2 Share Posted July 28, 2006 I was just on Rhapsody - sounds perfect to me.
Cats' slave Posted July 28, 2006 #3 Share Posted July 28, 2006 The linen pants and Hawaiian shirts sound perfect to me. Most men wear dockers type pants and a knit or button up the front, collared shirt. I think anything in this general vein is good for guys. desperatehousewife Posted July 28, 2006 #4 Share Posted July 28, 2006 I first read the title and I thought... "Why would anyone think men are not allowed in the dining room?!" DUH! The outfits sound fine, and I hope you have a great time!:)
Nliedel Posted July 28, 2006 #5 Share Posted July 28, 2006 Mumbling to self. Don't say it, stop. Be good Nancy... Oh the heck with it. I think there should be as many men as possible in the dining room... Lol!! Okay to answer your question. My husband dresses in a similar manner on our cruises and looks smashing. GrannyJ Posted July 28, 2006 #6 Share Posted July 28, 2006 I absolutely INSIST that there be men in the dining room on casual night....preferably good-looking young ones. If I want to see nothing but old ladies like me, I'll go on a Red Hat Society cruise.
meshelles Posted July 28, 2006 Author #7 Share Posted July 28, 2006 LOL! Now that I re-read it, the thread title is pretty misleading. Thanks ladies - DH will be glad to know that his attire will fit right in AND there will be other men there!

awrightsd Posted July 28, 2006 #9 Share Posted July 28, 2006 I thought the same thing...yes, I hope and want men in the dining room! Life can be so fun! Amy in San Diego (hating this heat wave we are having...we live about 1 mile from the ocean so don't have and don't usually need air conditioning. I may have to go shopping to be in an air conditioned building! Most of our malls are outdoor malls also.)
