Due to family demand we have booked the cycle Visby tour (yes i know e can do it alone).

My daghter has refused to ride without a helmet (not such a bad thing!!!!). Does anyone know if the cycle tours from the ship have helmets provided???

I cannot imagine a helmet will be a problem. There’s a law in Sweden that children (up to 15) must have a helmet, so cycle rental places have them. Many adults use helmets, too. The one rental place in Visby that I know of charge SEK 10 (about $1.30) for a helmet rental.

Have fun. Visby is a great summer town.

thanks for that info...normally at home we all ride with helmets (I have 3 road cycling racers!) but i didn't want to cart any helmets if i didn't need to!

Just for anyone else who may need this info....

email from SS last night...

Please note that helmets are available for the "Cycle Visby" shore excursion.

You do not have to supply your own.

:) :)
