Jeweley shopping in Mexico

I'm going on a Caribbean Cruise Sept. 30- Oct. 5 (Holiday). I would like to do a little jewelry shopping in Cozumel and Costa Maya, Mexico but I don't want to spend a bunch of money. Any suggestions? (First time cruiser)

Make sure you sit through the lecture on the boat and use their shops...

 

Silver can be very confusing if you do not take notes...

Three years ago we shopped every jewelry store in Cozumel!!! We had a blast...free tequila in every shop!!! hehehe Anyways, I bought the most beautiful blue topaz I've ever seen. They are loose stones and were priced reasonable......

Can you tell me where you shopped? My mom is looking for a loose stone. Preferrably a coral colored one. Were you down by the pier? If not, is there a name of the shopping area we could give to a taxi driver? Thanks.
