Snorkeling; Bahamas, Bermuda

Wife and I heading out on Dawn on Aug. 12. Any hints on snorkeling spots. We signed up for the Athol Island excursion in Bahamas (ships docks there in the afternoon) and for the All Day Snorkeling in Stirrup Cay. Are these worthwhile, or are there better DIY beaches in these ports. Also, NCL doesn't have any scheduled snorkeling excursions for Bermuda. Any advise as to what beaches offer decent offshore snorkeling there? :)

just got off the dawn yesterday. snorkeling was the best part of the trip. snorkeling at horeshoe bay was breat in bermuda, stirrup cay was even better. make sure you go out behind susan's rock. there are even more variety of fish out there. didnt do any snorkeling in bahamas. make sure you bring an underwater camera. we got good pictures
