angelpug Posted August 7, 2006 #51 Share Posted August 7, 2006 Yes, Borat, 18 is still the minimum age for clubs and casino. You'd be SHOCKED what 18 year olds can do here in WV! Even the Nudie bars are open to them, and a lot of males spend their 18 birthdays there! About the only thing they can't do here is PURCHASE alcohol, and drink in public (we are a state that has the stipulations for drinking at family gatherings in private.) We do have some of the older families around here that have Keggers for everything....but we DON'T! About as crazy as we ever let our kids get is an inch of champagne in a glass for New Years, and a bit of wine with their dinner at the holidays! We're some Wild, and Crazy Parents:eek: ! By the way...my "kids" are 18, 20, and 22 (the 20, and 22 year olds are in the Navy, and the youngest can drink each time his ship is in international waters!) Yes, the United States is even different state by state! Take Care, Jaime
Guest LetMeGo Posted August 7, 2006 #52 Share Posted August 7, 2006 I know I certainly do not go on a $1000 cruise just to get drunk, but I do enjoy a few cocktails from time to time and as far as it altering my state of mind.....that may be just to put up with uptight folks who think they are better than anyone who drinks alcohol. I've never claimed that everybody would have the same reasons for drinking or cruising... ;) I did however notice quite a few people writing how they wouldn't have chosen an RCCL cruise if they knew they couldn't drink on board. I feel sorry for those people. Not because they can't drink, but because they were desperate enough to go on a cruise just to drink.
