stargirl* Posted August 2, 2006 #1 Share Posted August 2, 2006 I'll be sailing on the Liberty in October. I was originally booked as 8A guarantee and was looking forward to an upgrade but when an extended balcony opened up I switched. Now I'm wondering if it's worth it since my cabin is completely aft. Any opinions/experiences? Thanks.
memabumpee Posted August 2, 2006 #2 Share Posted August 2, 2006 I am sure once you get on the ship and see just how big the aft cabin balcony is you will be glad you have it. We just love aft balconys you do not have as much privacy however at our age we do not need that. Very little winds back there that is the only drawback in my opinion Have a great cruise and enjoy the views.
neverenufcruising Posted August 2, 2006 #3 Share Posted August 2, 2006 We had one on the Legend and the extra leg room is nice. It's about 50% wider so you can stretch out a bit more. Nice if you're going to spend a lot of time on the balcony.
sotadragon Posted August 2, 2006 #4 Share Posted August 2, 2006 We had an aft balcony cabin on the Legend as well and loved it! I'm sure you well too. :)
GoinCruisin Posted August 2, 2006 #5 Share Posted August 2, 2006 Okay, do you have an extended balcony at the back of the ship, or an actual AFT cabin that runs across the very back of the ship?? There is a difference. The standard "extended balcony" cabins, to me, there wasn't much of a difference. The AFT cabins are deeper... so I guess it depends on your exact cabin. Either way, you have a balcony... enjoy :D
