kokosmama Posted August 3, 2006 #1 Share Posted August 3, 2006 I know there is an internet cafe, but, if I bring my laptop, will I only have access in the cafe? If I bring my own laptop with a wireless card, will I have to pay the cruise line for usage?

If I bring my own laptop with a wireless card, will I have to pay the cruise line for usage? I'm writing this from the sun internet cafe sailing out of Scagway. Wifi is available in the atrium on levels 5,6,7, and at the pool. I can't get good enough reception in my 9th floor cabin to connect there. There is a $3.95 access fee and then ther are per minute rates that range from .75 for minute by minute to .40 for a 250 minute plan. The Sun has been just fantastic! jerhardt Posted August 3, 2006 #4 Share Posted August 3, 2006 You may also be able to pick up rogue WiFi when in port. ie. Someone that has a hotspot that is unsecured. I know that you can access the Starbucks WiFi from any ship at Canada Place in Vancouver.
