Warning for Sailing 2/4/07 from Ft. Lauderdale

We just booked a Costa cruise leaving Ft. Lauderdale on 2/4/2007. We got our airline tickets immediately after booking so that we were guaranteed a good fare and the ability to arrive in Florida the day before the sailing to avoid weather issues since we are coming from Philadelphia. Problem - no hotel rooms for 2/3/2007. The Super Bowl is being played in Miami on 2/4/2007 and even Costa couldn't get us a room.

 

We got a room with the only internet offering (and we had to hunt for that) and are crossing our fingers. It might be a good idea to leave very early in the morning on the sailing date. We should have checked - but who knew!!!

Nanapaop, It's been mentioned on these threads for several months now. Glad you were able to secure a room, most will probably have to stay in Orlando or Ft Meyers if they're coming in the night before and make the 3 hour drive the following morning. ;)
