If you're looking for flight deals, make sure to sign up for free email notifications, especially on the discount airlines and resellers (Southwest, AirTran and Cheaptickets, Travelocity etc.).

 

I was getting discouraged about the prices overall until I received an email a few days ago about new promotional rates on Southwest. Roundtrip to Ft. Lauderdale (from Raleigh, NC) for less than $140 PP including all of the taxes and fees.
