Photo ID

We are cruising on the Carnival Spirit in January '07. I was just checking out the passport, etc., requirements and came upon the thing about official photo ID for everyone 16 and older. Everyone has a passport so the question is, is the photo ID in addition to the passport? Or is the passport sufficient as photo ID?

The passport would be the official photo id. What they're talking about with those requirements is if you do not have a passport. So sounds like you're all set! :)

I have to admit that one had me scratching my head. What else is a passport but official photo ID, right? The thing is that they were talking about it in the same section as the bit about requiring passports after 12/31/06 so I was a bit mystified.

No problem! :) A lot of those rules/laws can be pretty confusing, so don't hesitate to ask for clarification (here or from the source). Yep, passports are probably the best official photo id out there.
