Valor-Excursion Questions

Help I need suggestions - We are going to St. Martin and St. Thomas on the Valor in December. I have several questions.

 

1. Would you suggest doing a day sail on St. Thomas or on St. Martin? We also want to do shopping on both islands.

 

2. Does the Valor get into St. Thomas earlier than 9:00? Most of the day sails out of St. Thomas leave at 9:00, so I am not sure we would make it. We are doing the excursions on our own, not through the cruise line.

 

3. What are the best areas to shop in St Martin and how do we get there?
