Amsterdam to Vienna - Another Question

We are planning the above river cruise (still!). I have narrowed the dates down to April 29th or May 28th. There is a significant cost savings for the April cruise which is probably due to the chance for cooler weather. Given that we are willing to chance the cooler weather am I overlooking something? I would assume the chance for seeing the flowers would be greater for the April trip. Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I think there is a greater chance of high river levels in April than in late May. But, if seeing the tulips is a high priority, guess you could take your chances with the rivers.

If you want to see the tulipfields and Keukenhof etc. in The Netherlands, you have to travel end of April/beginning of May.

End of May all flowers are gone.

You can be lucky with the weather, for both sailings it is difficult to predict.

April 29 should be excellent for the Keukenhauf gardens....May would likely be dryer though and flowers in general in better bloom...IMHO.....

In 2007 Keukenhof will be open between March 22 till May 20.

After Mid-May there are not that many flowers anymore.
