Skagway - GlacierLake Kayak/Train VS. Rail/Bike Combo ??

We are heading for Skagway on the Sept. 17th NCL Star sailing,, Could anyone offer some thoughts about either of these two excursions.

 

In some forums, some are concerned that the bike trip isn't as safe looking as they'd like. But many years ago biked down Haleakala in Maui and it was spectacular.

 

Have not heard much on the Rail/ Glacier Lake Kayak Adventure so am looking to hear from some excursion "veterans" !

 

Being late in the cruise season,, weather could be a factor,, But hey,, its Alaska.

 

Only a few weeks 'till the Anniversary cruise Adventure, Can't wait.
