We are taking a western caribbean cruise this Oct on mariner of the Sea. We would like to snorkel as much as possible. Does anyone know if there is any good snorkeling in Labadeee, Jamaica &/or Cozumel. Our trip also includes Grand Cayman but l know the snorkeling will be good there if we don't end up scuba diving.

thanks for any input.

Labadee is fun to snorkel, but do not expect to see any fish. The locals have wiped the ocean clean of fish. I cannot answer you about Jamaica as we did not snorkel... we did the falls and river tubing there. Cozumel has great snorkeling I hear. We plan on going there again to snorkel as we went to Tulum that year instead of snorkeling. There was too much hurricane damage to do any good snorkeling when we went, so we opted for a dry land excursion that day. So, definately snorkel there!

We did the snorkeling at Grand Cayman, and that was fun. We were not all that impressed with GC, though. It is not a very pretty island, but as long as you keep your face in the water, it is lovely!

Have fun...I am so jealous, I want to snorkel!:D

I didn't snorkel in Labadee (bad weather), I went to Sting Ray City in Grand Cayman (would not suggest this tour... very crowded) but our table mates went snorkeling in GC through RCI and loved it... they even saw nurse sharks! I did go snorkeling in Cozumel and loved every minute of it! We did the Catamaran and snorkel tour through RCI. The guides were great and really found the fish! (but then again... the fish came when the food came out). Have a great time, I would go on Mariner again!
