Diver's insurance

Does anybody have divers insurance? What company do you use?

I absolutely recommend dive insurance, especially for diver who travel away from home to dive.

 

I think that just about all the divers I know who have insurance (almost all of them do) use D.A.N. I always get DAN insurance when I travel to dive.

I would not dive anywhere, including the US without it. We have DAN (Divers Alert Network) Premier. It even includes travel insurance that covers other vacations. Most of the outstanding dive operations outside of the US require dive insurance.

I was looking at DAN and the PADI sponsored dive insurance. Does anybody know anything about the PADI coverage?

My son is insured with diveassure. Was the one the divemasters at the dive shop he trained at are insured with.

I looked at Diveassure but their insurance doesn't extend to non-US residents. It doesn't even extend to all US states for that matter. Thanks for the input though!

My family uses DAN. I like that they are certification agency independent at least some of your money goes to research. When I called them from Cozumel once about an ear issue I got throught to some advice right away. That is great service.
