Muskoka Posted August 18, 2006 #1 Share Posted August 18, 2006 Sort of a happy/sad situation really. The ship is wonderful but like I have read in other reviews.....the cruise is all about the ship and very little about the destinations and ports. Honestly, I never knew where we were. The TV had the route but the channel would never stay on long enough to really see it and understand. The announcements could not be heard in the stateroom. It was necessary to open the door and listen. There were mechanical problems and I came home with Norwalk. I think others did too from reading between the lines when I called the Celebrity people to report it. They were so on the defensive. Wondering if there are any class actions. Sad. I felt many people did not understand how to use the hand cleaner dispensers and saw many just pass by. In our area (8) I felt the cabinstaff were overworked. Rather than going to deck 10 or 11 to see the glacier we took the advise of Ruby our hostess in Trellis and stayed on 4. That way the pictures were clear straight out shots. I relaxed in the computer room at times and had a wonderful view. I did enjoy the ship and the staff tried so hard. Yes I would go on the Infinity again. Excellent entertainment, enjoyed the T-Pool and aquaspa.....the spa people did so much upselling that it took the experience down several notches though. The bus trips offshore were a complete waste of money and time. The expensive shore excursions were prime but prime pricing too. So mixed feelings......the stateroom we had was large but the decor was a bit drab. Overall they are trying. Do wish I was not sick. Wondering how many others are? :(
