jmd2189 Posted August 21, 2006 #1 Share Posted August 21, 2006 What is a good place to go/shore excursion around St. Maartin that would be for no more than 5-6 hours in port? Let me know good and also things to avoid on the island as well. Advice appreciated!
Zeno Posted August 22, 2006 #2 Share Posted August 22, 2006 Go to a beach - plenty of nice ones: Orient Beach and Dawn Beach are both nice or go shopping - Philipsburg has lots of shops and restaurants or take a sightseeing tour - most taxis can do a two hour tour of the highlights for a reasonable price. Sheffie Posted August 26, 2006 #5 Share Posted August 26, 2006 Zeno, do you remember how much did the taxi charge you for the 2 hours of sightseeing??? thanks Here is the site with the prices for taxis and taxi tours of the island: http://www.taxisxm.com/rate.htm My cousin and I got in with a group so that we didn't have to spend so much per person. The taxis are at the end of the pier, and they will get groups together to go on a tour.
