Best Time To Cruise The Hawaiian Islands

What would be your favorite time of year to visit the islands ?

 

Planning on booking a cruise there for 2008 and looking for past cruisers info and ideas.

 

Also which of the 3 ships would you prefer to cruise on ?

 

This will be our first NCL cruise and hopefully not our last .

Anytime is a great time to visit Hawaii. Where do you live?

It might be best to book during the coldest part of your year.

When's the cooler season in Hawaii?

 

Is there a better time to see the whales? When we sailed the Star last April we just missed them as they left in March.

 

Also when is a good time when all the flowers are in bloom?

Whales are December through April.

Many flowers bloom year round like hibiscus and plumeria (frangipani).

Probably spring to late fall is best overall for flowers.

 

Hawaii is kind of cooking a bit in july through mid september. But it is nothing like say central florida, where you feel like you dying. You can avoid the hottest months, but then you probably get a little more rain, so probably you should give up and just go when your weather is worst as electicon says. :)

 

I think you'd appreciate Hawaii more if you just came from some terrible weather where you live.
