Time Differences on Western Caribbean

Recommended Posts
Grand Cayman has a one hour time difference than ship time. What about Jamaica?
Grand Cayman's time is the same as Rhapsody's time. I was on that ship 2 weeks ago. It depends on the originating port of your ship as to what the time difference is. If your ship departs from the east coast, then your statement would be accurate.

In general, if you bought your shore excursions from RCI, they will be on ship's time. If you bought them from an independent source they will be local time. There seems to be no real consistency about when a ship changes it's time to match local time. I've experienced it both ways (change, not change), so if you booked an independent excursion - take care to keep the times straight.

As far as when to get back to the ship, the ship always uses ship time, so adjust yourself accordingly, whether or not it is the same as local time.
