kbcrowe Posted July 8, 2004 #1 Share Posted July 8, 2004 Hi all! This is my first post although I've lurked for a few weeks. I'm booked on the Grand from Galveston this fall. It will be my first cruise in almost 20 years and my wife's first cruise ever. We just got our cabin assignment, a BD catagory Baja deck B201. It is as far forward as you can get apparently. Is this a bad location? If so, is there anyway to change it? Thanks, looks like a great board here, tons of information!
spongerob Posted July 8, 2004 #2 Share Posted July 8, 2004 Any cabin located well forward will experience more pitching movement. Otherwise, the only potential downside is that you might have to walk a little farther to get from place to place. If you booked a guarantee, there is a chance that you will be reassigned. There is a chance you will be reassigned even if you didn't book a guarantee. Don't sweat it too much, you'll have a great time regardless! :)
BJS Posted July 8, 2004 #3 Share Posted July 8, 2004 We just got our cabin assignment, a BD catagory Baja deck B201. It is as far forward as you can get apparently. Is this a bad location? If so, is there anyway to change it? If you are not happy with this location see if it can be changed for another BD but probably there are not any future back available. The other choice would be to see where there is a cabin to your liking but you will probably have to expend some more money for it or go down some categories to an outside. It all depends on how booked the ship is at this date.
