Traveler630 Posted August 28, 2006 #1 Share Posted August 28, 2006 Hey all you veteran cruise snorkelers, I am going on my first cruise in the spring and am wondering if anyone can recommend a good place/tour/link in regards to snorkeling in Cozumel. Also, my wife isn't much for getting her head underneath the water, so any suggestions regarding snorkeling with sightseeing/cruising would be helpful. MauiLvrs Posted September 3, 2006 #2 Share Posted September 3, 2006 Keep in mind that the current rips along off-shore at 4 knots or more... Be careful who you go with as when we were there a number of operatord on-shore had trip for much less that on the ship, but some looked like you might not ever come back. We dove with the cruise line tour and while it cost a little more, we were happy that we did. It was a great trip and we made it back safe and sound with no problems. We like to stick with 5 star PADI shops and have had good luck with the exception of Red Sail in Aruba booked thorugh RCL.
Cptnkirky Posted September 4, 2006 #3 Share Posted September 4, 2006 Check out Paradise beach's Catamaran snorkel tour. You can google the website with "Paradise beach cozumel". It leaves right from Paradise beach (a beautiful free beach) at around 12:30-2:30 for about $20-25 per person. You just have to get a quick taxi to the beach. They are very reputable!
