scuba - cozumel and grand cayman

Any recommendatoions for a dive operator in Cozumel and Grand `Cayman in December?

Cozumel - http://www.bluextseadiving.com is my personal favorite. Christi provides excellent customer service and is a super nice person.

I've read very favorable things about http://www.scubawithalison.com

http://www.scubatony.com is also worth contacting.

If you have a group of 4 or more, considering doing your own private charter. http://www.divewithmartin.com is a good choice for that.

Thanks - in Cayman Neptunes or divetech does not fit the ship schedule too good - Eden rock and Off the Wall Divers does - what do you know about them - I have contacted Allison in Cozumel and am making arrangements with her.

Eden Rock is a shore walk from where the tenders dock. There 2 dive shops there: http://www.edenrockdive.com/ and http://abanksdivers.com.ky/ Both do guided shore dives there.

 

 

I don't have any input about Off the Wall other to say that I've heard of them.

Sorry, I don't have personal experience with either of them.

I have snorkled in both Grand Cayman 2/05 and Cozomel 12/05. Both were after major hurricane went through. There was no reef left in either place. They told us at Christmas they lost 85% of their reefs with the storm. They neglected to tell us until we were ready to go in the water. Make sure that they are going to take you some place where the reef has not been destroyed.

While that might be correct if you are discussing snorkeling, it definitely isn't accurate in the context of scuba diving which is the topic of this thread.

I just got back from Cozumel diving for three days and all I say deep were great coral formations, one of us was in a different location for sure.
