Arriving Seattle Airport 5PM-Reserve Limo?

Advice please! DH and I are arriving next month at Seattle SeaTac at 5 PM for 2 days of pre-cruise sightseeing. I was thinking of taking a limo to our downtown hotel (Vintage Park) rather than a taxi. (From CCers posts, it seems that a hired car is no more than a taxi...and maybe a little less.)

 

Given the time we're arriving, should I wait until we arrive and then dial the #55 ground transportationnumber or book ahead? I'm not sure what "rush hour" is like in Seattle, so suggestions and any recommendations would be appreciated. Thanks.

One of our sales guys uses Seattle Town Car - 1-888-809-3334, he said they have very good service.

Once you get your luggage and go to the white phone and call the Limo it will be there in less than 5 minutes. DH and I have flown in to Seattle several times including at rush hour and never had to wait for the Limo and never booked in advance.

What is the cost of a limo from SeaTac to down town?

When we did the limo from the Airport to Downtown it was $30 plus we tipped $6. This was in June.

Taking the limo from the airport (call on the white phone at baggage claim) was either the same price as a cab to the downtown hotel or within a couple of bucks - certainly worth it IMO. Be aware though that when we took a taxi from the pier back to the airport after the Zaandam cruise ended June 9 a fuel surcharge was being added to deal with the increased gas prices. Haven't been in a taxi since then so don't know if that is an issue now.
