Can You order Just Beer as a Rm. Bar Set up?

The Majesty is our Fleet:

This probably has been answered before. Just can't find it as a single answer. Can you order a bar set up for your room thats just beer. All I see is wine or liquors. ??? How bout us beer drinkers who want a few just to relax in room. Is it a room service thing and how many can you set up? There are three of us who enjoy a cold beer and "Well" Do you have to go get a helmet thingy and drag it back to your room . Can we get a set up is what I'm asking???

You can order beer through the bar-set up program on NCL ships, not NCLA. Price was listed as $3.25 domestic, and $3.75 for imports.....I'm not sure what they have available.

 

:D I think my husband figured out it was cheaper to get the helmets with the buy 5 get 1 free........and then late nights in the casino they were offering buy 1 get 1 free.......so he would just pick up 2 helmets and bring them back to the cabin.

However, that bar setup is cheaper than buying it on the ship one by one. And there is only a $3 bar set up fee, but any beer (whether it's the 6 for the price of 5 or whatever) bought on the ship has a 15% gratuity included.

We bought beer for our room through the bar setup. It was the exact same price (inlcuding gratuity) as buying it from the bar. Unless, that is, that you buy a beer helmet at the bar (6 for 5).

 

However, my DH is a beer drinker and we spent a lot of time in our room (Alaska venue with a balcony...heaven). So having the beer in our room and not having to go to the bar to get it was well worth it. (and we still ended up buying helmets...the cabins are only so big...so we bought a case...and shared with a few folks)

 

Also, if you go the helmet way, make sure to save your helmet AND your reciept. They charge a deposit on the helmet and you can't get a credit unless you return the helmet with the receipt.

Just buy a bucket of beer and store in your fridge -- replenish as needed!:D It's buy 5 get one free...

The bar set ups must be ordered at least 2 weeks prior to the cruise, the buckets of beer are available on the ship.
