Dawn Princess-bed comfort

I am curious to know how comfortable are the beds on the Dawn, because she is getting about 7 years old I believe. Have they replaced the mattresses in 2002 when it was apparently "refurbished"? For the many people going on this ship, I would hope the mattresses have been replaced at least once. Anybody know about this?

The beds are fine but I always ask for an egg crate for additonal comfort .

The beds were heavenly on the Dawn in July!! Never slept better!:)

We were on the Dawn Princess in Jan 06. While we were in port in San Diego I noticed piles and piles of new mattresses that they were bringing onboard. There were not the upgraded mattresses for the suites and such, but instead were the regular mattresses for the regular cabins. We found our mattress to be perfectly fine in our inside cabin. If you find you like a firm mattress you will be fine. They certainly should be quite new and not drooping in the centre. If you find them too firm ask for the infamous egg crate.
