Holiday Inn Walk of fame

I have stayed at the Hotel Roosevelt before and love the location by all the LA action. I can't afford to stay there with my family because we need two rooms. We are not afraid of bums on the street or even a little grime on the street but I do want a clean comfortable hotel room. We will be there the end of June for two nights. We want to do all of the LA stuff and maybe Universal (not a priority). Is it worth while to get the Go LA card?

I don't think that there is much else I can do for the hotel rooms I wanted to stay at $100/ night in Hollywood. I'm not really sure of everything I want to do just yet but any suggestion for teen boys who are active would be helpful. Maybe some time at the beach but not a real prority since we will be going to Hawaii. We will be there the last week of June. For three nights.
