KJMommy04 Posted September 7, 2006 #1 Share Posted September 7, 2006 When I order room service, am I supposed to tip the person who brings it to my room? And I am talking about handing them cash...not the $10 on my account. Thanks in advance! :)

GoinCruisin Posted September 7, 2006 #3 Share Posted September 7, 2006 Yes, a buck or a couple, depending on what you are ordering.

Mysticks1 Posted September 7, 2006 #5 Share Posted September 7, 2006 Room service is not included in the $10 per day so yes you should tip them. Most seem to say $1 to $2 depending upon the amount of the order. I did this several times. They were always very prompt with the order.
mrdood Posted September 7, 2006 #6 Share Posted September 7, 2006 ...or just stiff them, take the food and shut the door on them, they are bazillionaires in the countries that they come from and get paid by Carnival and why should you supplement their income, Carnival just needs to pay them a better wage, they should be grateful that you let them come by your cabin and deliver you food... Sorry, I am better now, all the tipping threads have just made me lose it;)

mac4cruise Posted September 7, 2006 #9 Share Posted September 7, 2006 I always tipped the server $2.00 for each one
caribbean dreams Posted September 7, 2006 #10 Share Posted September 7, 2006 I always tip room service according to what they bring me, my rule is $1 per item, if i get 1 cup of coffee $1 if i get coffee and a bagel $2, you get the pattern. But everyone tips them different so you will just have to keep lots of $1's handy and decide when the time comes.
Cotton Posted September 7, 2006 #11 Share Posted September 7, 2006 $1 is sufficient for small orders like coffee and croissants. $2 if more items. I'd never tip over $2.
