FrogCruiser Posted September 7, 2006 #1 Share Posted September 7, 2006 My DW is fixing to be shocked as I'm contemplating renting a Tux on the Navigator next month. On our last cruise - after the formal night was over she mentioned that she would have like some formal photos with the two of us - and me in a Tux...well, I begrudgingly will wear a tux for my own wedding - and maybe my daughters - otherwise I'm a strictly a suit and tie person... so this time I guess I'll do the FORMAL formal thing. Do any of you cruise experts have and advise or experiences with tux rentals on RCL? Likely will do the double jacket package so I have one black night and one white night -- oh, wait, it's after Labor Day...I'm so confused! Do you need to reserve them in advance of boarding or can I go get fitted on board? Thanks for any suggestions.
TN Vol Fan Posted September 7, 2006 #2 Share Posted September 7, 2006 Frog, I just got back from doing a B2B in the Baltic on Celebrity and rented a Tux for the first leg and a white dinner jacket for the second leg. I used http://www.cruiselineformal.com/index.html and had absolutly no trouble. They rent you the whole shooting match, Tux, pants, shirts, bow tie, studs, etc. The only slight problem I had was one of the Tux shirts was a little snug in the collar. I just gave it back to our cabin steward and he got it exchanged that day, no sweat. The price was reasonable at about $60/two week cruise. Besides, you don't have to pack the thing and carry it on airplanes and such. Cecil
