Cathy_S Posted September 8, 2006 #1 Share Posted September 8, 2006 Counting down 3 days until my Mother's QM2 cruise... she's starting to freak out and call me with questions. The latest: what power outlets are in the cabins? 110v? size of plug? Thanks.
Kindlychap Posted September 8, 2006 #2 Share Posted September 8, 2006 The brochure helpfully confirms that both British and American sockets are fitted, even in steerage.
Cathy_S Posted September 9, 2006 Author #3 Share Posted September 9, 2006 Thank you, sir! I also found that information on the Cunard web site. I should of looked there first before posting here. I didn't have the brochure (she has it, but I doubt she has read it all the way through). Thanks again.
travel-to-go Posted September 9, 2006 #4 Share Posted September 9, 2006 Thank you, sir! I also found that information on the Cunard web site. I should of looked there first before posting here. I didn't have the brochure (she has it, but I doubt she has read it all the way through). Thanks again. But only ONE by the desk. The one in the bathroom is only good for a shaver, or maybe a toothbrush. Bring a power strip. especially if she has a camera that needs charging or anything like that. And for Pete's sake, don't forget the chargers, like I tend to do! <G> (And remember to charge her cell phone for when she gets off the ship!) Karie, who just returned from the labor day cruise. Kindlychap Posted September 9, 2006 #5 Share Posted September 9, 2006 Karie - it does rather depend on the cabin, doesn't it? I guess the Queen Elizabeth suite has rather more than your average inside cabin!

I guess the Queen Elizabeth suite has rather more than your average inside cabin! You're kidding! I'm going to complain! That's classism! How dare they! I need just as many electrical appliance as a suite denizen...maybe more! pnhmrk Posted September 10, 2006 #8 Share Posted September 10, 2006 Who can't believe they would treat people different just because they got a bigger room! <G> Karie - if you've got a bigger room then you need more sockets - otherwise the leads on your electrical appliances won't reach.;)
