Corkscrew for Wine

I've seen the posts where it is permissible to bring your own wine on board, what about your own corkscrew :confused:

Why wouldn't it be? THe only problem might be if you tried to keep it in your carry on luggage while going through airport security.

 

We took wine on a cruise, but actually forgot a corkscrew. We asked the cabin steward for one and had it in 5 minutes.

We always pack a couple of corkscrews but since the new air transportation rules we pack them in the checked luggage. I lost one when it was in my carry on.

 

Most of the times the room stewards can come up with one if you forget yours.

thanks - with all the rules TSA has in place I just wanted to be sure.

DH and I purchased a Princess corkscrew that is for shipboard use only. We never cruise without it :D .

I always pack it in a clear plastic bag in the checked baggage. When they go through the suitcase they can see it without opening everything.

I never had a problem.
