Scooter Rental on Moorea

I will be in Moorea in 12 days (!!!) for my honeymoon - staying for a few days on Moorea at the Sheraton and then boarding the Tahitian Princess on the 28th. While in Moorea, we would like to rent a scooter to circle the island. Has anyone rented scooters on Moorea? Which companies have scooters and how much do they cost to rent? Do we have to make a reservation in advance? Thanks in advance for your help!

Albert's is a name you will become familiar with if you're looking to rent a scooter on Moorea.

 

I'm thinking they ran around CFP 5000 XPF per day. ($53.27 USD at today's rate.) I believe you may get a better rate than that if you book for more than one day. You may also find you can rent a car or buggy for essentially the same price.
