taxi from port of miami to airport??

What is the cost of a taxi from the Miami airport to the Carnival port? Is there a Carnival shuttle or is a taxi the best way to go?

We've done both. We liked taxi best. If I remember, taxi fare was a flat fee of $20. There are plenty of taxi cabs outside airport and outside pier. Enjoy your cruise.

We sailed out of Miami in January. We booked through

1-800-BOOK-A-LIMO. They were great. They met us @ the airport where we disembarked, helped us with our luggage, and picked us up coming home also. The price turned out to be about $35 pp round-trip. There were 8 of us. Definitely worth it. Felt pampered & safe. Took the stress out of the rest of the day. (We came out of a HUGE snowstorm in Baltimore!)

Last year we flew into MIA and had paid for RCI shuttle. There was about 30 people in line waiting for the shuttle and decided to get a cab-which was alot quicker!

Have taken a cab 3 times from Port of Miami to MIA airport. $20 (plus tip) to fill the cab. Hint... if you have one of the porters that are all over the place help you with your luggage when getting off the ship, throw him a couple bucks and ask him to find you a mini-van cab... Have done that the last two times and have NOT been disppointed. With two kids under the age of 3, time is important... you won't find me standing in line to get on a bus! :)
