doones2 Posted September 14, 2006 #1 Share Posted September 14, 2006 Thought we might hit a casino in the evening after dinner. Our ship doesnt sail until 1pm. Anyone have suggestions for a casino to visit? We were looking at the Crystal Casino at the Renaissance. Dont know much about it but it looks like its within walking distance from the ship. cruisinbb Posted October 5, 2006 #2 Share Posted October 5, 2006 I was just in the Crystal Casino September 15th. It is ok. Coinless Slots. Table limits were $10-25 on a friday afternoon. It is only a few blocks from where cruise ship docks. Safe to walk to after dinner. Nice mall/shop area before you get to casino. bb
Arubalisa Posted October 6, 2006 #3 Share Posted October 6, 2006 Also the Seaport Casino (has a Race & Sports Book). Both casinos are within walking distance of the ship.
Carolrd Posted October 6, 2006 #4 Share Posted October 6, 2006 When you're at the Crystal Casino, try out the Big Bertha machine. You can't miss it, its at the top of the stairs to your right as you enter the casino. This is one casino that keeps the drinks flowing. Have a great time!!! vegasbrew Posted January 3, 2007 #5 Share Posted January 3, 2007 Are the casinos a little looser than on the ship? Do they serve free drinks while you play? Do they pay in american $$$...that is when you win?
showe0208 Posted January 7, 2007 #6 Share Posted January 7, 2007 Crystal Casino is nice but if you take a bus from in town to palm beach you can walk along the beach boardwalk and hit all the hotels & casinos. Its not really a boardwalk, more like a cement path along the beach giving you access to all the hotels from the rear. You might like one hotel and want to return for a weeks stay. Aruba is one Island I feel safe walking in town in the evening. The bus depot is in town and about 3.00 per person each way. Start at the Holiday Inn and make your way down the beach and check out all the highrises. You can take a bus back to town at every hotel. And yes, the slots seem looser than the ships. All drinks are free while gambling at every casino I've been in and thats most of them!:D Have a great cruise and good luck.

showe0208 Posted January 7, 2007 #8 Share Posted January 7, 2007 No, its a short distance but I'm directionally challenged. Ask anyone and they will point you in the right direction.
