When doing these, do you have to stay in a line with the group or are you free to go and do what you want with them? Thank you for the info, my son would like to know.

Yes it is a group ride and also a tour of the island. They go out with 2-3 guides depending on the size of the group and they stop in different areas to give some history. If you are experienced ask them to put you up front before you get on the jet ski's and you will be able to go as fast as you want....it's a blast. Also, if you haven't booked them yet do so now....they will be sold out if you try on the island and you will have to wait for a no-show or a cancellation

I did the waverunners a few weeks ago in Labadee and it was indeed a group thing. Our guide told us that it was important to stay in a line during it because they take you through some areas where there are reefs, and if you get stuck in a reef its really difficult to get out. If this is something that you definitely know you want to do, I would do as previously suggested and book beforehand. However, I booked the day before and there were plenty of spots open at various times. Some times were closed already, but I wasnt picky as to when I went. And there were even people booking at the last minute at the port an hour before the tour left - but you dont want to be disappointed if they were to be sold out if it is something that you definitely know you wanna do. Regardless of when you book and what time you go, it is sure to be a blast! Its a lot of fun - and you ride right around the ship!! Great thing to do in Labadee!
