Norhtern Cruisers Posted September 16, 2006 #1 Share Posted September 16, 2006 :) We are making cruise stops in Tortola, St. Maarten, St. Lucia, Barbados, Grenada, Curacao and Aruba and would like suggestions where to dive and/or snorkel as well as shore snorkel. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks
bruce-r Posted September 16, 2006 #2 Share Posted September 16, 2006 Of your choices, I'd rank them this way (at least for scuba diving): 1)Curacao - Healthy reefs, lot of fish. Look at http://www.the-dive-bus.com/ or http://www.caribseasports.com/ I'd be happy diving here for a week vacation. 2)Tortola - I'd like to dive the Rhone here. I'm planning on going here next year for a trip on the http://www.cuanlaw.com 3)St. Lucia - supposed to be pretty nice diving here. 4)Aruba - Not as good as Curacao, but still not bad. http://www.divearuba.com/ I'm not sure about Barbados or Grenada, but I do know that St. Maarten was totally unimpressive and because all the dive sites are out in the open ocean, I wouldn't dive there again unless the ocean was dead flat calm, and even then I wouldn't expect much. I know this doesn't address your snokeling question, but I do not snorkel. Hope it helps anyway, Bruce
