pensh Posted September 17, 2006 #6 Share Posted September 17, 2006 Just read on the Atlantis website: ADDITIONAL CHARGES: Atlantis guests are subject to 12% resort tax and $10.00 per person per day housekeeping and utility surcharge. Harborside Resort guests are subject to 12% resort tax and up to $11.25 per person per day housekeeping and utility surcharge depending on unit type. If you purchased a Destination Atlantis package these charges are already included in your package price. If you purchased an Accommodations Only rate you will be charged these taxes upon check out at the property. This brings the $129 price up quite a bit, especially for families. tamtot Posted September 17, 2006 #7 Share Posted September 17, 2006 This makes me laugh. I called today on my way home from church to ask about the $129 special. The CSR said "We NEVER have rates that low"-and I mentioned it was an October special, she said not at all, and furthermore told me that they required a 3 night stay, and that the resort was sold out for 10-21. So I got home and just read all the info with the codes and such (THANK YOU for posting!) . Well, the resort IS available for the low rate on 10-21, ($159) Unfortunately, we have a party of 5, so we would have had to book 2 rooms, to the tune of $360+ all fees and such. Can't justify that for a few hours at Atlantis:-( It just amazed me how COMPLETELY different the info was between the 2 reservation agents! Thanks for all your knowledge on these boards!
