glrounds Posted July 11, 2004 #1 Share Posted July 11, 2004 Don't understand ! ! When I go to my favorite online sites and select cruise, cabin, etc. and click to go to final page I get: SESSION EXPIRED  I'm getting this on icruise.com, cruisesonly.com, bestpricecruises.com, etc. etc., etc. It doesn't seem to matter which online site. Don't understand ! ! I'm racing through these sites, it couldn't be a timing thing at all . . . . . something amiss ? Thanks
atonal1 Posted July 11, 2004 #2 Share Posted July 11, 2004 I'm not a geek, but did you try re-starting your computer? Sounds like there is an internal problem with your computer, and the only way to fix it is by re-starting the computer to eliminate them. Hope this helps. bippytrip Posted July 11, 2004 #3 Share Posted July 11, 2004 Check to see if you have cookies enabled; In internet Explorer, click on tools>Internet Options>Privacy>and then set your Privacy settings. Let me know how you make out
BottledRed Posted July 11, 2004 #4 Share Posted July 11, 2004 Usually you get a session expired for one of two reasons: your browser is not enabling cookies or your internet connection is spotty so the information from the cookie isn't getting to the end server. If you get to the 'session expired' page and hit the 'refresh' key, it will likely resend info to the distant end server. I suggest double checking that your privacy settings aren't blocking the connection: In Internet Explorer do this: Tools...Internet Options Click on 'Privacy' Tab Ensure it's set on Medium If you are using a different browser, let me know and I'll look it up. -note- Sorry, I missed the earlier response that was posted! I'll leave my instructions up, though
glrounds Posted July 12, 2004 Author #5 Share Posted July 12, 2004 Thanks All. I must have upped the security settings on the internet options. Put them back to "default" :) Rebooted. Unusual since I always leave everything running. Everything is fixed...thanks again for all the help.:) :)
