Le Meridiens near the ports?

For reasons of accruing frequent flyer points, we need to visit a Le Meridien in either Noumea, Isle de Pines or Port Vila and spend at least $10 USD worth on food or drinks to activate our account. There is no sister hotel in Brisbane where we can do this. So out of these three ports, which one has the easiest to get to Le Meridien hotel? I mean close to the ship-walking distance?

Le Meridien port Vila is about a 5 min taxi ride from the centre of town. Cant help with the others. It is very nice there , stayed there last year for a week it has the Caino there (its only small so dont expect much ) The grounds are nice and you can aget lunch by the pool or at the swim up bar!

Neither Noumea or Port Vila or Isle of Pines Le Meridian's are within walking distance of where the ship docks.

The one in Noumea is around past Lemon Bay and Anse Vata beach. If you are doing Le Petit train you'll drive right past it, it's at the intersection where you turn off to go up to Ouen Toro lookout, and you can see it from the look out (but it's a bit too far to walk to in the short time the tour stops at the lookout).

The one in Vila is located well away from the wharf and town, if you do the Vila & Environs tour you'll drive through the grounds as a part of the tour - but it doesn't stop there.

At Isle of Pines it's on the complete opposite side of the Island, again not within walking distance..

Thanks Kym & Icemaiden. Looks like the Port Vila one is easiest to get to unless there is public transport on Isle des Pines. Noumea probably isn't doable on a 3-11pm stopover. Unless one of the cheapie tours in the terminal goes there for drinks.

If you visit the one in Port Vila (or anywhere in Port Vila), use a bus not a taxi, it will be a lot cheaper. Should only cost you $2 or $3. When we were there, our table mates took a taxi to another beach to go snorkelling. It cost them $70 and the driver never returned to pick them up like he promised. They got a bus back for $2 each.
