My wife and I will be sailing on 10/09. In October 2004, we sailed on the Caribbean Princess and James and Lisa were the cruise directors, they did an excellent job, and their farewell show was absolutely hilarious. Straight from their mouth they told us that they were engaged and getting off the ship at the end of the cruise to get married. Anyway, Sarah, try and find out if they willl be back for the 10/09 sailing because we were really looking forward to seeing them again. Thanks for any info and have a great cruise. If James and Lisa are not there I'd love to hear your review of Omar.

Committed perhaps, but definitely not married. From the (woody) horse's mouth.

I sailed with James and Lisa 4/05 on CB. They joked around on the morning show that they were engaged. We saw them on the 8/25 Crown and I asked both of them if they were joking about being engaged. They said yes and Lisa told me that James is happily married to a staff nurse and she didn't commit to her status with someone else.

I told them about all the scuttle on CC about James- either people love him or detest him and the James/Lisa rumors. I also read a post that he was married to the ship's doctor. Not far off from the nurse.

James also said he had trouble searching for threads on him on CC.

I told him I'd start a thread just so he could see feedback ;)

Hi all,

Sorry for my tardiness in replying to your posts. I have just been so busy that I have not had time.

OK-Omar Luna is the cruise director. So far he is nothing spectacular. Lisa is still here as is Cameron. I believe Omar was CD on two previous Princess ships, but I do not recall which ones. He comes from Puerto Rico, but was oringinally from NY. I have not seen him around too much--it seems that his staff is taking care of the activities.

Yes, Sarge is here and will perform again tonight. Hopefully this show will also be as good as his last.

Unfortunately I did not win in the casino--I guess I should stick with Atlantic City.

The previous complaints/criticisms about the Horizon Court Buffet are correct in my opinion. The space is too small to accomodate all the people. The flow of traffic is difficult at peak times. I guess it is a design flaw in the ship.

The food in the dining room is excellent--so are the desserts.

The weather in Bermuda yesterday was fabulous. We went to Hamilton and then to Horseshoe Bay. Just perfect.

Today is a sea day and the weather is ok, but we have had a few showers. Lots of activities are ongoing on the Crown. There does not seem to be too big an issue with the chair hogs yet, but it is early in the cruise and we will see how this progresses.

I will try to find out whether Lisa and James are married or not. And I will also try to find out what happened to James.

I guess that is all for now.

OK, If you want to know anything else, please ask.

Sarah

The cruise director's last name is Lugo nor Luna as I had originally posted. I believe he was on the Golden and Diamond previously. Sorry for the mistake.

I will try to find out if Sarge will be here for the October sailing.

Ding Ding - you got it right! It's a nurse who he is serious with. I didn't want to make it public if I was the only one who he told about the nurse.

I am not on this sailing, however i was on the 8/7 sailing of the Crown. Right at the pier at the Royal Naval Dockyard there are stands that sell all day ferry and bus passes I think for like $8- we took the ferry right to Hamilton (which was a great ride b/c of the scenery!!) shopped a bit, then headed on a bus to Horseshoe Bay which was like a 10 minute drive. The only thing I would do differently is get to Horseshoe Bay earlier as it was very crowded- still beautiful nonetheless. Enjoy!!

Hi all,

We just finished the Island Night Party on Deck. It seems as if Lisa is running the show and Omar is around for show. The party was fun, i.e lots of dancing and island music. We did have a Latin show this evening that I have not heard mentioned by previous posters--It was great. Singing, dancing and some jokes. I believe it was a local act from Puerto Rico, but can not say for certain as I missed the introduction of the show.

I do have to clarify my food comment--The food in the dining room is excellent as long as you are a seafood lover otherwise the other items are just average--just my opinion so don't get upset with me.

As for Sarge, he will be performing in Las Vegas on October 9th, but said he should return to the Crown towards the end of your cruise the 16th or so.

The ship is beautiful and what can I say about the service--excellent from the room steward to the dining room staff.

Tomorrow is St. Thomas. It is supposed to be somewhat good weather--showers here and there. I guess it is a beach day.

Oh, I forgot to mention that during dinner this evening the power went out on the entire ship for a minute or two. Luckily we were in the dining room and had no problems. The Captain made an announcement that there were some problems and they were investigating what was up. We are now sailing from San Juan and everything seems to be fine.

I still did not find out the scoop on James, but will try.

I guess that is all for now.

Hi Sarah I will be sailing on 10/09. I've done some research regarding Bermuda and have heard alot about the public ferry system and buses. Does this seem like a better alternative than paying the high price for the Princess excursions. The internet reads an all day pass is available right off the ship for $13. I'm just wondering how often the ferry sails from the port we will be docked at? Any help is appreciated. Continue having a great time.

Tom
