Towel animals anyone?

Just found this site that let's you watch a sample towel animal video. Neat! How to make a towel animal

 

I checked it out and it's VERY homemade quality. You can learn it but not in great detail or quality. Still think the DVDs I bought from http://www.FoldingMagic.com are leaps and bounds better. The towel origami on the DVDs actually look like what they are supposed to be. I recall I got them in the mail the very next day. Able to do all of them now with no problem and my grandkids LOVE them. Think they have a free sample video on their site also.

 

Hope they come out with volume #3 soon.

I thought that was one of the things that everyone missed!

I haven't seen it in a number of years but always thought it was a great touch.

We took photos of each animal every night.

On the Statendam a class was offered free of charge. An illustrated book was available for $10- $12. Every evening we found our beds turned down, chocolates on pillows, schedule of next day's festivities and a lovingly fashioned towel critter. I bought the book and have been rewarded with smiles and giggles from young and old receipients of my critter creations.

I'm so disappointed that Princess don't do them.....my boys would LOVE something like that when we cruise in November:(
